The CFANS Office for Diversity and Inclusion with the support and guidance of the Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life works together to facilitate the St. Paul LGBTQIA Advisory Group. This advisory groups serves to bring visibility and awareness of LGBTQIA topics and identities to the U of M's St. Paul Campus. A dedicated group of volunteers (students, staff, faculty, administrators) meet several times throughout the calendar year to discuss, strategize, and create programming and that will build awareness, understanding and community within the LGBTQIA community on the St. Paul campus.
The committee is in the process of recruiting new members (students, faculty, and staff) to join the solid core of people dedicated to this work who are available to assist in the planning & development of LGBTQIA activities that foster understanding across the St. Paul Campus. Additionally, we have open office hours every other Wednesday from 2-5pm on the St. Paul campus where individual can stop by and learn more about the GSC, the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, the advisory group, and how to get involved with the work surrounding LGBTQIA, social justice, diversity, and inclusion.
